The Essence of Studying

When I first saw this method of Bible study several years ago, I was blown away because of it’s simplicity and power. I couldn’t believe that by asking these simple yet deep questions, you could get such powerful insights to any passage of Scripture.

What is a passage? Usually it’s a chapter (sometimes longer or shorter), but it could be a parable or story, or it could be a famous speech or sermon.

A few good passages to start with:

• Matthew 8:23-27
• Matthew 13:11-23 (also compare with Luke 8:5-15, Mark 4:3-20)
• Matthew 13:24-30
• Matthew 25:1-13
• Matthew 28:16-20
• Luke 10:25-37
• Luke 15:11-32 
• Acts 6:9-15
• Acts 9:1-30
